L.Kirklanda Scholarship to study in Poland in 2013/2014

1. Who can qualify?

The program targets young leaders with higher education interested in developing democracy, economy and civil society in their country and in the region. In 2013/2014 academic year Kirkland program addressed representatives of the following professional groups : experts, politicians , employees of public authorities and governments; entrepreneurs, managers , leaders non-governmental organizations , artists and public figures, and university professors , journalists . Polish- American Freedom Foundation ( Program Sponsor ) and the Polish- American Fulbright Commission ( Program Administrator ) announce an open competition for candidates from Ukraine, Belarus , Russia , Moldova, Georgia, Armenia , Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan for the scholarship it. Economics and management;

Administration / management (business, NGOs, culture, environmental protection, health care);

Public administration (public authorities and self-government);

Jurisprudence;

Social sciences (social psychology, sociology);

Political science and international relations;

Development policy and humanitarian aid

2. Duration of the program.

During the implementation of the program fellows are trained in higher education institutions in Poland (2 semesters) and 2-4-week internship in state institutions or private organizations.

3. The deadline for applications.

Applications must be received by: March 1, 2013

4. Mandatory requirements.

Citizenship and permanent residence in one of the above states ( card holders permanent residence in Poland to participate in the contest are not allowed ); complete higher education (Master's degree ) , age 35 ( in justified cases up to 40 years) , knowledge of the Polish language ( at a level sufficient to participate in lectures and seminars , as well as for writing thesis ) or English language - if you select a particular candidate course learning the language ( in this situation is considered adequate passive knowledge of the Polish language ); professional experience - at least 2 years .


PREFERENCE
will be given to candidates who: are actively working in their field professional or social activities; have significant achievement in their activities; previously trained in Poland.

5. Required documents.

Participation in the program filled in online.

Profile with personal data.

Project stay - justification of the candidate's intentions with respect to participation in the Program Kirkland, including proposals concerning the study in Poland, and plans for the future (4000-6000 characters with spaces).

Two letters of recommendation indicating achievements and qualifications of the candidate, as well as description prospects for its further development and work in professional or social Activities (in Polish, Russian or English), sent by e-mail.

A copy of the diplom (if available - also a diplom candidate of sciences), sent by e-mail.


SET OF CANDIDATE:
Selection of 50 best candidates will be held in three stages:

Phase I - Assessment of compliance with mandatory requirements;

Phase II - Evaluation of candidates profiles on the merits;

Phase III - qualifying interview (holding this stage of the competition is scheduled for the period from 09.05.2013 to 15.04 years).

Candidates selected to participate in Stage III, will be notified by e-mail or by telephone at end of March. Information on the final results of the competition will be sent to the e-mail in June 2013.

Application should be completed on - line. After filling out the application online, print issued by the system information page, confirming receipt of the application. Signed page and current picture of the candidate should be sent by regular mail to the address Fulbright Commission. 6. Financial conditions

Scholarship: from 1800 PLN per month. Additionally, the program covers the following expenses: tuition costs, Accommodation in Poland, insurance, travel to Poland and back, visa, purchase of materials and scientific benefits. Fellows are issued for temporary use computers that can move into their property only after full implementation of all conditions of the program of study.


SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM INCLUDES:

Inauguration Program (middle of September 2013).

Preparation and information course (10 days).

Classes in higher educational institutions (two semesters) in the leading Polish scientific and academic centers (Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan, Wroclaw, Lublin).

Training semester and diplom works.

Four integrational - didactic meeting all fellows.

Classes on leadership and personal development.

Professional training (2-4 weeks) usually after completion of the training program.

Completion of the program and solemn graduation ceremony (end of June 2014 in Warsaw).
